Why do I have the feeling this new snapchat filter is going to cause problems.. ๐Ÿค”

@james ah I see ye it can be a bit off. I can see pedos misuse it.

@Marshy if this sort of technology improves (which it will) it will make it super difficult (tricky) to moderate

@james I do see some good in it tho. it can make littles see their cute faces :p

@Marshy @james Maybe but it depends on the context. We have now essentially have a way to provide images of adolescents in compromising positions. Yeah even if they're "adults" simply having those images on your PC is an issue if somebody were to check and an even bigger issue if you were found to be hosting those images online. This is a very grey area and we all know the law takes a very long time to catch up to the ramifications of advancing technology.

@notdrawingattention @Marshy this has been my concern. Iโ€™m fine with what I have seen so far, but will be pretty vigilant with how itโ€™s being used.

Perhaps people could post a before and after pic, rather than just the after, so there's no confusion.
@notdrawingattention @Marshy

@bilbo_uk unfortunately that wouldn't help, just like when people have drawings made that make them look 6 but then say "the character is me and I'm 25 so it's fine".

Also one of the reasons I suspect it will be used frequently is the fact many don't show their face online (like myself), but will be happy to show with a filter like this.

@notdrawingattention @Marshy

@james @bilbo_uk @Marshy Yep in the UK at least it won't matter as per the "Protection of Children Act 1978 1978 (PCA 1978) โ€“ s 1" which states it's legal to have, share, distribute, publish any indecent photograph [or pseudo-photograph] of a child.

So in this case the law is ahead of the game and quite clearly states if it's showing a child, no matter if that child is real, you'll be open for prosecution.

@james @bilbo_uk @Marshy That was obviously meant to say illegal. ๐Ÿ˜…

This is not legal advice, I am not a lawyer, don't cite me in your court-cases ๐Ÿ˜œ

@notdrawingattention @james @bilbo_uk @Marshy this whole topic makes me feel really sad...

I need some happy thoughts..

Who has seen Aladin already?? Iโ€™m going this afternoon yaay!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ณ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿงžโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@Littleboyrami Don't feel sad for being enthusiastic about your photos. :blobpats:

Accidents happen. Your reply shows you understand the risks of posting such content, so I'm sure you take caution next time. So blow your nose and wipe away your tears. Your a big boy, remember? ๐Ÿ˜Š

@notdrawingattention @james yeah that is why I said that it can be used for the wrong purposes.

Solution ?
A massive destruction of freedom if speech for "Security" like copyright directive and the upcoming TERREG ๐Ÿ™„

Old EU politician sold cityzens and they right to GAFAM.

@james I share your concerns about the matter. Would be a shame if this platform gets shut down. How does Instagram deal with this?
